The Worldwide Group for Migration (IOM) mentioned on
Monday that 344 migrants had been rescued and returned to Libya within the
previous week, Development

The migrants, together with 24 ladies and 10 kids, had been saved
between March 26 and April 1, IOM mentioned in an announcement.
To date this 12 months, 4,241 unlawful migrants have been rescued and
despatched again to Libya, whereas 269 died and 172 others went lacking off
the Libyan coast on the Central Mediterranean route, the
group mentioned.
In 2022, a complete of 24,684 migrants had been rescued and returned to
Libya, the IOM revealed, including 525 migrants died and 848 others
went lacking off the Libyan coast.
For the reason that fall of late Libyan chief Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in

to cross the Mediterranean Sea and attain European shores from
Libya.
Rescued migrants often ended up inside overcrowded reception
