An Ekiti State Chief Justice of the Peace’s Courtroom in Ado Ekiti District has ordered the remand of a 70-year-old man, Sule Adeola, on the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ado Ekiti for allegedly raping a 10-year-old lady.
The defendant, based on the cost, “inside Ado Ekiti Magisterial District within reason suspected to have dedicated an offence of rape on a 10-year-old minor severally between March and June 2023.”
The police prosecutor, Inspector Olubu Apata, mentioned, “The offence is punishable below Part 31(2) of the Little one Proper Regulation of Ekiti State.”
In her assertion to the police, the sufferer mentioned, “My mom is late whereas my father resides in Abeokuta. I stick with my grandmother in Ekiti. Baba Sule (the defendant) is our neighbour.
