Some gunmen have kidnapped a journalist in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria’s South-east.
The sufferer, Chuks Onuoha, was reportedly whisked away from his residence at Umungasi, Ohuhu in Umuahia North Native Authorities of the state.

The most recent incident occurred lower than two weeks after a medical physician, Uwadinachi Iweha, was kidnapped within the state.
Mr Iweha, a professor and the provost of Gregory College School of Drugs, Umuahia Campus, was kidnapped on June 5, by gunmen whereas he was driving out of his residence at Umuajameze Ezeleke Umuopara in Umuahia South Council Space of the state.
The Nigeria Medical Affiliation within the state has reportedly withdrawn their providers to protest the medical physician’s abduction.
Mr Iweha is but to be launched, 10 days after his abduction.
Additionally, Samuel Kanu-Uche, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, was kidnapped alongside two different monks, final month, whereas they had been on their means from a programme in Umunneochi Native Authorities Space of the state.
The clerics had been launched about two days later after reportedly paying N100 million to the abductors.
