Dubai-based Shelf Drilling has struck a cope with a subsidiary of Aban Offshore to buy the 2008-built
Deep Driller 7 jackup rig for $30m.
The rig is at the moment situated within the United Arab Emirates and must be delivered in July this 12 months following the customary closing circumstances.
The Oslo-listed Shelf Drilling mentioned it could pay in money and have a fleet of 31 jackups after the transaction is closed.
