Palmer’s purchasing anthem celebrates Google’s fourth annual Black-owned Friday in partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.
Singer and actress Keke Palmer is purchasing all the pieces Black-owned for Black Friday.
The entrepreneur and Black enterprise proprietor teamed up with Google this vacation season to encourage shoppers to go looking, store, and help Black-owned companies 100%.
“This isn’t simply Black Friday, it’s #BlackOwnedFriday,” Palmer captioned a brand new music video she launched on Nov. 20 on X, previously often called Twitter. Within the music’s refrain, the singer retailers round to the lyrics, “From the again to the center and round once more, I’m gonna be there ’til the tip. A hundred percent, Black-owned.”
Palmer’s music video is a mini commercial celebrating Google’s fourth annual Black-owned Friday in partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. Based on Google, the purchasing soundtrack reimagines the 90s basic “100% Pure Love” by Crystal Waters. The brand new anthem, titled “Black-Owned Friday (100% Supporting)” and directed by Andre Muir, invitations customers to spend their cash this 12 months at Black-owned companies. The video spotlights a number of U.S. Black-owned companies, from espresso to clothes and plant retailers.
The initiative features a mini-site that serves as a one-stop-shop to find native Black-owned companies and uncover recommendations on being an influential supporter. In a Nov. 20 Instagram publish, the Hustlers actress requested followers to share posts as they store Black-owned companies this 12 months and use the hashtag “#BlackOwnedFriday.”
She left viewers this message: “Simply search Black-owned companies and BOOM! You ain’t received to be Black to do it.” Some followers within the feedback have been tickled when she added, “You might be white, brown, beige, fluorescent beige.
