Holidaymakers’ plans for Christmas are in tatters after Pontins closed two websites with out warning.
The vacation camp firm, rated the UK’s worst in 2022, has closed websites in Prestatyn, north Wales, and Camber Sands in East Sussex.
An announcement on their web site mentioned: “We remorse to tell you that our parks in Prestatyn and Camber Sands might be closing with rapid impact.
“Clients whose bookings might be affected by these closures might be contacted by our staff and refunded. We apologise for any inconvenience induced.”
Native MP James Davies mentioned the positioning in Prestatyn Sands had a “dangerous fame” for a while.
He added: “I’ve sought and obtained affirmation from the House Workplace this night that there stays no intention to make use of the positioning to deal with asylum seekers.
“My ideas are with all these workers affected by the closure.”
Which? Journal made Pontin’s useless final out of 19 vacation camps reviewed in 2022, with Norfork-based Potters Resorts claiming the crown.
The journal rated on a scale of 1 to 5 the cleanliness, high quality of lodging, customer support, services, leisure, foods and drinks and worth for cash.
Pontin’s scored 59 per cent, with its high quality of lodging receiving two stars alongside its leisure and worth for cash.
In Might, the equalities watchdog launched a proper investigation into Pontins vacation parks over “continued considerations” that it’s discriminating towards Gypsy and Traveller company by refusing stays primarily based on their names.
