Police in Kaduna State have killed one bandit and recovered one AK49 gun and one domestically fabricated.
The spokesman, DSP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident.
He mentioned the tactical operation adopted a misery name that some bandits have been sighted on the Galadimawa-Kidandan Street in Giwa Native Authorities Space of the state.
“Their motion was strongly suspected to be for his or her ordinary heinous mission.
“In a bid to truncate such mission police operatives have been deployed to the placement for a doable engagement and restoration of security.
“The operatives engaged the hoodlums with scientific precision and succeeded in countering the bandits’ mission as they have been compelled to retreat into the forest.
“Some sustained bullet accidents whereas one was gunned down; his AK49 assault rifle and operational bike have been recovered.
“Equally, a domestically fabricated long-range revolver with its 12 polymer cased cartridges have been recovered when a search was performed within the space,’’ he added.
Jalige mentioned the command had been making efforts to revive public confidence by means of rigorous patrol and surveillance to forestall additional assaults on communities or on commuters.
