Two California residents are suing the French luxurious design firm Hermès over claims that it sells its Birkin purses solely to clients who’ve bought different Hermès gadgets previously, together with the designer’s expensive sneakers, scarves and belts.
The category-action lawsuit filed Tuesday in San Francisco alleges that clients will need to have a certified “buy profile” with Hermès to realize entry to Birkin luggage.
