‘Peak woke’: Assertion on nation’s wellbeing to be included in federal finances

Sky Information host Peta Credlin says the proposed inclusion of a press release on the nation’s wellbeing within the federal finances is “peak woke”.

Ms Credlin stated Treasurer Jim Chalmers has “adopted one thing that Jacinda Ardern did in 2019 and she or he’s accomplished it since then, to have this wellbeing part within the finances”.

“The finances is supposed to be black and white fiscal element – it’s purported to be goal measures. It’s not purported to be one thing as subjective because the wellbeing or the quality-of-life measure,” Ms Credlin stated.

“It may keep in New Zealand – don’t deliver it right here.”
