COP29 President addresses first official letters to heads of member states outlining duties of this session in Azerbaijan’s Baku

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. COP29 President and
Minister of Ecology and Pure Sources of Azerbaijan, Mukhtar
Babayev, has despatched the primary official letters to the governments of
COP29 member states with the aims of the twenty ninth session of the
Convention of the Events to the UN Framework Conference on Local weather
Change, Development reviews.

He made the announcement in Baku in the course of the presentation of the
Motion Plan of Azerbaijan’s COP29 Presidency.

The letters notice that the achievement of a worldwide settlement on a
new local weather finance goal would be the fundamental level of negotiations
on the upcoming twenty ninth session of the Convention of the Events to
the UN Framework Conference on Local weather Change.

Moreover, the official letters urge member governments of the
Paris Local weather Settlement (198 nations on this planet) to submit
up to date nationwide local weather plans to restrict world warming to
1.5°C.

“Defining a New Collective Quantified Purpose on Local weather Finance
(NCQG) may also be a precedence challenge at COP29. It’s essential to
agree on an bold and reasonable local weather finance goal, taking
into consideration the wants and priorities of creating nations that
are events to the UN Framework Conference on Local weather Change,”
Babayev famous.
