The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 4 faux troopers.
The police spokesperson within the state, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this on Twitter, stated the suspects have been arrested on Sunday.
In accordance with him, they have been arrested by officers of Iju Divison led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Gbenga Stephen.
“Officers of Iju Divison led by the DPO, CSP Gbenga Stephen, right this moment at about 1:30am arrested 4 faux troopers within the Iju space of Lagos State.
“The faux troopers who have been arrested in a Mazda3 saloon automotive are Samuel Abel ‘m’ 28, Victor ljeemai ‘m’ 35, Lukman Salabiu ‘m’ 43 and Oyinyechi Macus ‘f’ 30.
“They’ve been transferred to the State Prison Investigation Division, Yaba for additional investigation,” the police spokesman stated.
