It is World Ranger Day. This collection celebrates our heroes

The fifteenth annual World Ranger Day is well known on 31 July 2022 and commemorates rangers killed or injured within the line of obligation, and celebrates the work rangers do to guard the world’s pure and cultural treasures.

On residence soil, sport rangers stand as much as poachers virtually day by day as they battle to finish the decimation of wildlife species, starting from the poaching of rhino and abalone to the unlawful removing of crops resembling cycads and Proteas.

This five-part mini-series created by Hill’s Pet Vitamin referred to as CONTACT, celebrates the bravery of those wonderful rangers and their K9s. ‘This heart-warming collection not solely recognises the wonderful function that these canines play in defending our pure heritage but in addition their unbelievable handlers who, by means of their dedication to working with the canines, are making an actual distinction within the battle in opposition to poaching,’ says Dr Man Fyvie, Veterinary Affairs Supervisor at Hill’s Pet Vitamin.

‘There are substantial prices concerned with coaching, feeding and taking care of the well being of the K9 unit canines and Hill’s Pet Vitamin has proudly been sponsoring the items with meals, gear and healthcare for the final decade,’ says Dr Fyvie.

South Africans are being referred to as upon to assist preserve paws and boots on the bottom by donating to the K9 anti-poaching items. Donations will be made right here with all proceeds going to the SANParks K9 Unit and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife K9 Models.
