A quartet of Asian transport powerhouses have gained the following tranche of enterprise within the big QatarEnergy fleet growth challenge.
A consortium comprising Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (Okay Line) from Japan, Malaysia’s MISC and China LNG Transport, the Cosco/China Retailers three way partnership, have ordered 5 174,000 cu m LNG carriers at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China. The ships will ship from 2025, going into 2026.
