Police arrest lovers for burying new child alive

The police in Jigawa State have arrested two lovers who allegedly buried their new child child within the Kiyawa Native Authorities Space of the state.

The police spokesperson within the state, Lawan Adam, instructed reporters on Monday that the suspects will probably be charged in courtroom following an investigation.

The police stated the suspects had been arrested on 2 December at about 11:50 p.m. following an Intelligence report on the command’s disposal.

The police spokesperson stated the intelligence revealed that one Balaraba Shehu, 30, of Tsurma village, Kiyawa native authorities space is suspected to have birthed and buried the new child child.

“On receipt of the hideous report, a staff of Policemen mobilised and proceeded to the scene of the crime.

“On arrival, detectives swung into motion and exhumed the new child child from the bathroom, the place it was buried by the suspected mom.

“The suspect was arrested and is now in Police custody. The child was rushed to Basic Hospital Dutse, and licensed useless by Medical Physician.

“Preliminary Investigation led to the arrest of 1 Amadu Sale alias ‘Dan Kwairo’, 25, of Akar village within the Kiyawa native authorities space,” the police stated.

“The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, Emmanuel Ekot Effiom directed that the case must be transferred to SCID Dutse, for discreet Investigation.

“The suspects can be charged to courtroom to face the total weight of the legislation upon completion of the investigation,” the police stated.
