An alleged burglar was shot and killed inside a Walnut house, deputies stated Saturday.
A 27-year-old man and his 26-year-old spouse stated they heard footsteps at about 4 a.m. Saturday whereas they had been inside their house within the 20000 block of East Nation Hole Drive, based on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division.
The couple was investigating the sound of their house when the person “was confronted by a male suspect armed with a handgun and a taking pictures ensued,” sheriff’s deputies stated.
Deputies consider there have been two suspects concerned within the housebreaking. The second suspect fled the scene.
“The suspect sustained gunshot wounds to his higher torso and was pronounced deceased on the scene,” the sheriff’s division stated.
Neither the person nor his spouse was injured.
Investigators stated the primary suspect’s handgun was situated on the scene.
