Items value hundred of hundreds of thousands of naira, yesterday, received razed by fireplace at Araromi Auto Spare Elements Market, within the Agodi-Gate space of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the inferno began round 2am. Among the spare components sellers claimed that indiscriminate burning of refuse brought on the inferno.
A dealer, who merely recognized himself as Samuel Olawale, alleged that the fireplace escalated owing to the failure of the fireplace service to achieve entry to the market on time.
One other dealer, Tolu Ajayi, stated: “I used to be knowledgeable round 3 am that there was a fireplace outbreak out there. By the point I received there, items value hundreds of thousands of naira had been burnt.”
Talking on the incident, the Normal Supervisor of the state fireplace service, Rev. Canon Yemi Akinyinka, stated that his males received to the scene round 2:30 am and efficiently contained the fireplace round 5am.
He attributed the fireplace incident to indiscriminate refuse burning saying: “The hearth was suppressed at 5am. Cooling down operation is ongoing to suppress reignition,” he stated.
