Quick-growing UK-based Purus Marine has positioned an order for 4 45,000 cu m scrubber-fitted LPG carriers at Hyundai Mipo in South Korea, due for supply from the second half of 2025 going into Q1 2026. Clarksons Analysis lists the orders as coming in at $68.69m per unit.
Established in 2020, the Julian Proctor-led Purus Marine has already acquired a fleet of greater than 60 vessels within the ammonia and LNG sectors, battery hybrid offshore wind vessels in addition to carbon seize and scrubber-fitted containerships and electrical ferries.
