A survivor of an acid assault has referred to as on the federal government to step up its efforts in tackling assaults after a mom was injured by a corrosive alkaline substance in Clapham on Wednesday, 31 January.
Andreas Christopheros, 38, was left blind in a single eye after sulphuric acid was thrown on him in 2014.
It comes as a manhunt for alkali assault suspect Abdul Ezedi, 35, from Newcastle, continues as police renewed their attraction for the general public’s assist discovering him.
Talking to Sky Information, Mr Christopheros urged the federal government to begin “coping with acid crime” recognising its severity.
