Within the unrelenting effort by troops to clear remnants of Boko Haram terrorists (BHT) enclaves in Borno and contiguous states, troops of 144 Battalion have efficiently rescued 25 hostages held captive by the terrorists.
This was contained in an announcement by the Director, Military Public Relations,. Onyema Nwachukwu, on Monday in Abuja.
Mr Nwachukwu, a brigadier normal, stated the gallant troops, along side Hybrid Pressure, extricated 14 hostages comprising six girls and eight youngsters in a clearance operation at Gobara village in Gwoza Native Authorities Space of Borno on Saturday.
He stated the troops of 82 Job Pressure Battalion, along side Hybrid Pressure, raided the BHT enclave in Gava Village in Gwoza Native Authorities Space of Borno and rescued 11 civilians in the same operation on Sunday.
In line with him, all of the rescued victims are in troops’ custody present process profiling.
The Military spokesperson stated that seven members of the Boko Haram household surrendered to troops of the 81 Division Job Pressure Battalion at Dikwa Native Authorities Space of Borno in a separate operation on Sunday.
“In an anti-banditry operation on Sunday in Kaduna State, troops of two Battalion, Nigerian Military, performing on actionable data, neutralised one legal and freed 4 kidnap victims in Kwana Shehu Village in Birnin Gwari Native Authorities Space.
“The rescued victims had since been reunited with their households.
“Members of the general public are please enjoined to help the troops with credible data to boost ongoing operations throughout the nation,” he stated.
