An artist who has drawn for the Beano for 60 years has been recognised within the New Yr Honours record.
David Sutherland, an artist with Dundee-based DC Thomson, is made an OBE for providers to illustration.
Mr Sutherland, who was born in 1933, has been drawing The Bash Avenue Youngsters since 1962 and was accountable for Dennis the Menace from 1970 till 1998.

Mr Sutherland was born in Invergordon within the Highlands, the youngest of three youngsters.
His mom died when he was two and his father needed to work to help his three younger youngsters, so the younger boy and his siblings moved to Stirling the place his father’s household helped deliver them up.
