The American ambassador to Budapest hit out at Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Tuesday for siding with Donald Trump within the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
Talking at an Independence Day reception in Budapest, Ambassador David Pressman mentioned Orbán “continues to remind us, every day, of who he wish to win that election, who he would vote for if he have been an American, which he isn’t.”
“We now have no different ally or companion — not a single one — that equally, overtly and tirelessly, campaigns for a particular candidate in an election in america of America, seemingly satisfied that, it doesn’t matter what, it solely helps Hungary, or a minimum of helps him personally,” he added.
