Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari as accepted the appointment of Semiu Adeyemi as the brand new Statistician-Common of the Federation and Cheif Govt Workplace of the Nationwide Bureau of Statistics, NBS.

Mr. Semiu Adeniran is knowledgeable statistician of reputation with a bias towards Demography and Social Statistics. He has over three a long time of statistical hands-on expertise garnered from numerous native and worldwide establishments.
Till his appointment, he was the Director of Demographic and Family Statistics on the Nationwide Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Mr. Adeniran replaces Dr. Simon Harry, who died on the thirteenth of April 2022.

His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has accepted the appointment of Mr Semiu Adeyemi Adeniran because the substantive Statistician-Common of the Federation and Chief Govt Officer of the Nationwide Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with rapid impact.
This appointment follows the demise of the previous Statistician-Common of the Federation, Dr Simon Harry, on thirteenth April, 2022.
