Three businessmen appeared in an Ikeja Chief Justice of the Peace’s Court docket on Thursday over the alleged theft of 375 baggage of sesame seed valued at N47.5 million.
The three males, Ime Essien, 49, Nnamdi Obianuka, 36, and Chidera Stephen, 21, stay in Lagos and are being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, advised the courtroom that the offences had been dedicated on August 8 at No 9, Warf Highway, Apapa, Lagos.
Akeem stated that the complainant, Mr Olubunmi Olumekun, employed the companies of the three males in loading and transporting 375 baggage of sesame seed weighing 37.5 tonnes, valued at N47.5 million.
The prosecutor added that the boys had been to ship the luggage of seed to numerous locations in Lagos and Ogun states. He stated that the three males, nonetheless, did not ship the products and all efforts made by the complainant to get again his items failed.
The prosecutor stated the offences contravened sections 287 and 411 of the Legal Legislation of Lagos State, 2015.
