BOSTON – An American Airways flight sure for Spain was compelled to divert to Logan Airport Wednesday evening as a result of a cracked windshield, Massachusetts State Police stated.
American Airways Flight No. 94 took off from JFK Airport in New York and was headed to Madrid, Spain.
The flight landed safely in Boston at 10:14 p.m. The aircraft taxied to the gate underneath its on personal energy.
American Airways stated in an announcement the aircraft was diverted “as a result of a upkeep situation,” and upon touchdown in Boston was taken out of service to be inspected by a upkeep group.
No accidents have been reported. Passengers will depart for Madrid on Thursday morning on a alternative plane, the airline stated.
