The Senator representing Gombe North, Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo, has urged the state governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, to droop the month-to-month pension and allowance of N694,557.82 accrued to him as a former governor.
In response to a letter dated October 4, 2023, and addressed to Yahaya, Dankwambo urged for a suspension of his pension and allowance following his new job as a senator.
He disclosed that the choice was following due session with related stakeholders together with Civil Society Organisations, including that it was sequel to his letter to Yahaya on points regarding safety allowance to governors.
