The sixteenth Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Sunday presided over the primary emirate council assembly of district heads and senior conventional council members on the Gidan Rumfa palace.
Presiding over the maiden version of the expanded council assembly, after his reinstatement on Friday by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the previous governor of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) has lastly assumed the superior duty of the emirate.
