A former correctional officer at a troubled federal ladies’s jail in California was arrested Friday in Florida and charged with sexually abusing three inmates, in accordance with federal prosecutors.
Darrell Wayne Smith, who was employed at Federal Correctional Establishment Dublin within the Bay Space, was charged with repeatedly abusing the ladies between 2019 and 2021 of their cells and within the jail laundry room, prosecutors mentioned.
Smith is the sixth worker of the facility to be arrested on costs of sexual abuse, which was so rampant on the jail that it was as soon as referred to by inmates and employees because the “rape membership.” The prison conduct went all the best way to the highest: Warden Ray J.
