Fifteen individuals have been arrested throughout a policing operation in east Leicester “to discourage additional dysfunction” on Sunday night time.
It comes after two arrests have been made when police stated disturbances broke out at an unplanned protest on Saturday night time and Sunday morning.
In an announcement, Leicestershire Police stated: “Officers turned conscious of teams of younger males gathering on Sunday afternoon within the North Evington space of the town.
“Officers spoke to them and took steps, together with setting up a brief police cordon, to minimise hurt and disturbance to communities.”
