Fuel explosion at a Liquefied Petroleum Fuel (LPG) refiling store has burnt down retailers and injured 20 folks in Kano.
A correspondent of the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) who visited the scene of the incident reviews that it occurred at a busy space of Sheka quarters, Karshen-Kwalta in Kano.
NAN gathered that the incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m., on Thursday when a cylinder exploded and immediately caught hearth.
The hearth destroyed the place and about three different retailers close by, together with a part of a home hooked up to the store.
Witnesses instructed NAN that they heard the sound of a fuel cylinder explosion.
A witness recognized as Malam Abubakar stated that many individuals had been rushed to the hospital bare, with burnt skins.
He stated that over 10 folks had been affected by the incident, largely these contained in the store and the folks residing near the place doing their companies.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fireplace Service, Mr Saminu Yusif, confirmed the incident.
He stated that 20 folks had been concerned, however had been rescued alive and now receiving remedy in hospitals.
Yusif stated that the incident was allegedly attributable to hearth from a person frying and promoting fish close to the fuel store.
