Mr Ryan mentioned there are a number of potential candidates from the Republicans together with Florida governor Ron DeSantis, Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin, former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley and former vp Mike Pence.
