INEC to conduct supplementary election in Ado Doguwa’s constituency

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday mentioned it should conduct a supplementary election in Tudun Wada, Doguwa federal constituency in Kano state.

The constituency is being represented by Ado Doguwa, who’s dealing with a homicide cost after he was allegedly concerned in a violent disturbance after the 25 February presidential and Nationwide Meeting elections.

INEC cancelled the election held within the constituency saying Mr Doguwa was declared the winner by the returning officer, Ibrahim Yakassai, underneath duress.

INEC faulted Mr Doguwa’s victory days after he was arrested, charged and arraigned on homicide fees which he allegedly dedicated on the day of the election.
