Bewley, 70, is from Mason and represents northwestern Wisconsin. The accident occurred when she pulled out of a Lake Superior seaside entrance and into the trail of a automotive pushed by Alyssa Ortman, based on the Ashland Police Division. When Ortman’s automotive collided with Bewley’s, it spun throughout Freeway 2 and was hit by one other automobile.
Ortman’s 5-year-old daughter was pronounced useless on the crash scene. Ortman was transported to a close-by hospital the place she later died, based on police. Hagstrom stated Bewley was not taken to the hospital.
“It is a heartbreaking occasion for the group. Our ideas and prayers are targeted on the people concerned, their households and their family members,” Bewley’s workplace stated in a press release Monday. “Senator Bewley, who was not severely injured within the accident, needs to thank all of the devoted legislation enforcement and emergency medical personnel who helped within the aftermath of the accident.”
Bewley, a member of the Senate since 2015, is just not in search of reelection.
