Japan Engine Company (J-ENG) has got down to work with compatriot Akasaka Diesels to develop hydrogen and ammonia ship engines. The pair have acquired funding from the Inexperienced Innovation Fund challenge by Tokyo-based New Power and Industrial Know-how Improvement Group (NEDO).
Japanese delivery strains and shipbuilders are among the many world leaders within the growth of ships and required infrastructure for ammonia and hydrogen.
