Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš introduced his resignation Monday, days after his authorities coalition fell aside.
Kariņš told his center-right New Unity celebration that he plans to submit a letter of resignation to Latvia’s President Edgars Rinkēvičs on Thursday and he invited the celebration to appoint a brand new candidate for prime minister.
On Friday, Kariņš introduced he was going to dissolve New Unity’s coalition with the Nationwide Alliance and the United Checklist events after they rejected his plans for a ministerial reshuffle, in response to native media. When asserting his resignation, Kariņš accused the coalition companions of “blocking work for welfare and financial development.”
