The 21-year-old lady was crossing Leakes Street in Tarneit close to the intersection of Penrose Promenade round 5.45pm yesterday when she was hit by a white sedan.
The motive force didn’t cease the automotive after placing the lady, and as an alternative sped away from the scene in an easterly path in direction of Derrimut Street.
One other motorist stopped to assist the lady and referred to as for an ambulance.
The Tarneit lady was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a severe situation with a head harm.
A Tarneit man, aged in his 20s, has this morning approached police and helps with the investigation.
