Japan’s Mitsui OSK Strains (MOL) has ordered 5 LNG-fuelled newcastlemaxes, cut up between Nihon Shipyard on house soil and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding in China.
The vessels are slated for supply from 2026 to 2027. Together with these 5 vessels, MOL will add a complete of 13 LNG-fuelled capesize bulkers in its fleet.
No value has been revealed for these newest ships.
