Mr Nse Essien, a member of the Akwa Ibom Home of Meeting (PDP-Onna Constituency) has freed 12 inmates within the Uyo Correctional Centre who couldn’t meet their circumstances.

He mentioned that the 12 inmates regained their freedom after he paid N1.5 million to safe their bail.

“I’ve been celebrating today with inmates, to date, previously seven years, I’ve paid for 177 inmates to regain their freedom.
”As we speak, I’m including one other 12 after paying N1.5 million, making a complete of 189 inmates,” Essien mentioned.

Earlier, Mr Ebereonwu Ogueru, the Assistant Comptroller of the Correctional Centre recommended the contributions of the parliamentarian for sustainably being a compassionate father and buddy.
He mentioned that the contributions of the lawmaker to the centre couldn’t be underestimated.
Ogueru mentioned that the two-term Home of Meeting member had additionally donated trophies to winners, together with N50,000 money prize for winner, N30,000 for runne up and 20,000 for third place end.
He thanked the lawmaker for presenting money and medal rewards to the highest scorers, referees, finest goalkeeper and most useful participant.
