A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr Jude Kingsley Maduka of the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe in Imo State, was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday.
Maduka is the parish priest of Christ the King’s Parish, Ezinnachi/Ugwaku, Okigwe LGA of the state. He was ordained on September 22, 2012.
The chancellor/secretary of the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Rev. Fr Iwuanyanwu talking on the case stated; “He was kidnapped from his New Adoration website at Ogii Village in Okigwe LGA whereas on inspection on the new website,”
“We solicit your fervent prayers that he could come again to us secure and sound,” he added.
Police spokesman, Henry Okoye, talking on the incident stated the command was but to be briefed on the incident.
