The Nigerian Correctional Service has dismissed 9 officers and retired 25 others compulsorily for offences towards commonplace practices.
The service’s spokesman, Umar Abubakar, acknowledged on Sunday in Abuja that 4 others have been issued with letters of warning.
He quoted the Controller-Normal of the Service, Haliru Nababa, as asserting the choices after approval by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Hearth and Immigration Board.

He warned that there could be no room for indolence or indiscipline within the service.
