The federal authorities has declared Wednesday and Thursday, 28 and 29 June, public holidays to mark this yr’s Eid-el-Kabir.
The Everlasting Secretary within the Ministry of Inside, Oluwatoyin Akinlade, made the announcement in a press release on Monday.
“The Federal Authorities has declared Wednesday June twenty eighth and Thursday June twenty ninth 2023 Public Holidays in commemoration of this yr’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration and heartily felicitates with the Muslim Ummah at residence and within the diaspora,” the official famous.
The federal government urged Muslims and all Nigerians “to make sacrifices for the expansion and improvement of our communities and our nice nation, Nigeria.

“We’re hopeful that the prayers and sacrifices that include this nice celebration in addition to the message of Eid-ei-Kabir will result in peace, unity and progress in Nigeria,” the official wrote.
Muslims worldwide will be a part of their counterparts the world over to mark the Eid-el-Kabir on Wednesday, a day after Muslims pilgrims in Saudi Arabia will climb the Mount Arafat.
