Workplace constructing evacuated after grenades, weapons handed in on Gold Coast

Workplaces have instructed locals to remain of their properties and have evacuated the constructing on Bay Avenue in Southport.

Officers have been known as at 8.30am, saying three grenades and three firearms have been “surrendered” to the workplace.

The exclusion zone is on Bay St between Davenport and Ralins Streets.

“Police are presently conducting emergency operations within the space and requesting members of the general public not attend the realm,” Queensland Police stated.
