Oil washes up onto Singapore seashores after allison between dredger and bunker vessel

Clear-up operations are underway in Singapore following an oil spill ensuing from the allision on Friday between the dredger, Vox Maxima, and bunker vessel, Marine Honour.

Patches of oil and lightweight sheens have been noticed off Pasir Panjang Terminal and alongside Tanjong, Palawan, and Siloso Seaside on Sentosa Island.

A complete of 16 oil spill response craft have been deployed to proceed spraying oil dispersants and to gather the oil slicks on the water floor.

Berthing operations at Pasir Panjang Terminal stay unaffected.
