Ondo State Commissioner for Bodily Planning and City Improvement, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju, on Wednesday, resigned her appointment shortly after she was moved to the ministry from one she thought of to be juicy.
Till Wednesday, Adeyanju was the Commissioner for Water Assets and Sanitation.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had performed a minor reshuffling of his cupboard and it required Adeyanju to be redeployed from the Ministry of Water and Sanitation to the Ministry of Bodily Planning and City Improvement.
Sources instructed SaharaReporters on Wednesday that the commissioner was displeased with the switch from a ministry she had thought of “juicy” and had been accustomed to, to a “dry land”.
“She (Adeyanju) resigned shortly after she was moved to a different ministry she thought of as dry land not like she was coming from. She doesn’t need the ministry the place she was taken to and it didn’t take her time in any respect to tender her resignation. Clearly, her former ministry was like a gold mine for her,” a supply stated.
Adeyanju subsequently forwarded her resignation letter to the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
Nevertheless, in keeping with her, within the letter obtained by SaharaReporters, she resigned from her place as a commissioner to discover different sectors outdoors politics.
Her letter reads: “I hereby resign my appointment as a Commissioner in Ondo State with rapid impact. My choice relies on a private conviction to discover different endeavours outdoors politics for now.”
