The police in Anambra State, south-east Nigeria, stated they’ve arrested 5 armed thugs in Ihiala, a neighborhood in Ihiala Native Authorities Space of the state.

Mr Adeoye stated members of a vigilante group from the neighborhood introduced the thugs to the headquarters of the police within the state.
“The thugs have been arrested,” he stated.
“5 pump motion weapons have been recovered (from them),” Mr Adeoye added.
The police commissioner stated the police had warned earlier that they might not tolerate thuggery and snatching of ballots field in addition to violation of INEC election pointers through the train.
“So, these ones we’ve arrested have violated the INEC pointers,” the police commissioner stated of the thugs.
