Based on police spokesman, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, “In his response, the Governor promised to help the Police in ensuring that justice is served within the extant case and to collaborate with the Police on advocacy programmes to teach the citizenry on understanding and respecting the legal guidelines of the land for an improved relationship with the Police. He equally pressured that his administration will associate with the Police to hold out refresher programs, coaching, and retraining, and different analysis processes for law enforcement officials in all aspects of policing duties.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu equally emphasised the necessity to present some gear like physique cameras, non-lethal weapons, to curb extreme use of powers and enhance good police/residents relationships.
