Pope Francis has appointed Nigerian-born Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu because the Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelisation, Part for First Evangelisation and the New Explicit Church buildings.
The Holy See Press Workplace introduced the papal appointment on Wednesday, Vatican Information says.
Archbishop Nwachukwu, the titular Archbishop of Acquaviva, has served since 17 December 2021 because the Holy See’s Everlasting Observer to the United Nations and Specialised Establishments in Geneva and to the World Commerce Organisation.
He additionally served because the Consultant of the Holy See to the Worldwide Organisation for Migration.
Bio
Born on Might 10, 1960, Archbishop Nwachukwu was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Umuahia, Abia State in Nigeria on June 17, 1984 and was later incardinated into the Diocese of Aba on April 2, 1990.
Late Pope Benedict XVI appointed him because the Apostolic Nuncio to Nicaragua and made him the Titular Archbishop of Acquaviva in 2012.
