Manufacturing crew for Stephen Colbert’s “Late Present” detained in congressional constructing close to U.S. Capitol

A number of members of a manufacturing crew with for “The Late Present With Stephen Colbert” had been detained Thursday evening in a congressional workplace constructing close to the U.S. Capitol, CBS stated Friday. The group was filming a comedy section after they had been taken into custody, the corporate stated. 

U.S. Capitol Police advised CBS Information that officers responded to a “name for a disturbance” at 8:30 p.m. on the Longworth Home Workplace Constructing, the place they detained seven individuals who had been “unescorted and with out Congressional ID” in a sixth-floor hallway.

However CBS stated Friday that the suspects had been a part of a manufacturing group which was recording a “Triumph the Insult Comedian Canine” comedy section on Capitol Hill on Wednesday and Thursday.

The manufacturing group had performed interviews earlier within the day that “had been licensed and pre-arranged via congressional aides of the members interviewed,” CBS stated in an announcement. After leaving members’ workplaces, the group stayed to movie “stand-ups and different comedy parts” earlier than they had been detained, the corporate stated.
