Police have arrested 4 folks at a pro-Palestine protest that blocked a serious intersection and the gates of the Melbourne Cup.
Protestors descended on Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday, reportedly blocking racegoers at an entrance to the occasion.
Round 100 protestors congregated round entrances on the Melbourne Cup.
At the very least two protestors who refused to maneuver had been pepper sprayed and dragged throughout the highway by police, whereas others had been carried away by their legs and arms.
Victoria Police arrested 4 protestors, together with a feminine protestor with a flare gun and megaphone who refused to climb down from the the roof of a white van regardless of police instruction.
The protestors, who congregated at Epsom Rd, Ascot Vale Rd and Racecourse Rd from 11am, induced visitors disruptions at an essential intersection.
Police dispersed the protestors round 1.15pm and visitors stream has since improved by the intersection.
The 4 protestors who had been arrested have been taken to Melbourne West Police Station to be processed for resisting and hindering police.
