Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended his marketing campaign for the Republican presidential nomination on Sunday, saying he would throw his help behind frontrunner Donald Trump.

In a video posted to X, previously Twitter, DeSantis stated that after his second place end final week within the Iowa caucuses he couldn’t “ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their sources if we do not have a transparent path to victory. Accordingly, I’m right now suspending my marketing campaign.”

His withdrawal from the race comes lower than two days earlier than the New Hampshire main, the place polls confirmed him far behind ex-president Trump and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley.
