Sapura and Paratus JV secures contract extension for pipelay assist vessel in Brazil

Seabras Sapura, a Brazilian three way partnership between Paratus Vitality Companies, previously Seadrill New Finance, and Sapura Vitality, has secured a two-year contract extension with Petrobras for the 2015-built pipelay assist vessel (PLSV)

The Rio de Janeiro-based Seabras has a fleet of six subsea service vessels, all at present working beneath contract in Brazil offering assist, set up and versatile pipe laying.

The PLSV sextet is mounted beneath long-term contracts with a backlog on the finish of July 2022 of $940m. The contract for Sapura Esmeralda commences on August 2.
